NOT ALL LIVES MATTER IN CAMEROON.

NOT ALL LIVES MATTERS IN  CAMEROON

We are made to understand that Cameroon is one and indivisible am I correct? Also Cameroon is a democratic and peace loving nation right? Cameroon is a member of gentleman’s club (UN,Commonwealth,E.T.C.) perfectly correct. Paul Biya is also Cameroon’s one and only president for nearly forty years. He is also one of the oldest president who spends most and rules most from abroad. All these gives a common man no doubt but a good true picture of the “greatness” of such a country am I right?
What a shame and insult to humanity, for how long must this go on?
We are all living in fear, refugees all over, the killings continues and no place to call home yet life goes on very smoothly and conducively in French Cameroons. Paul Biya has not only reduced Southern Cameroonians into second class citizens but he has made it very evident that they do not matter or belong. He is the almighty and maintains such a high profile as number one human rights violator and dictator.
That  is why it is very normal for him to go about his business travel the world while Southern Cameroons is more or less a military base or a graveyard. That is why lots of time also is invested in trying to blindfold the world on the “greatness” of Cameroon as “one and indivisible country “. Notwithstanding, one thing is clear and is a fact which is that “the road maybe rocky, narrow, muddy or slippery but  for sure that only the truth and the truth shall prevail.Justice can only be delayed but cannot be denied that is a fact also.
In the midst  of this horror in Southern Cameroons Paul Biya “most-do- election” must take place. How on earth can there be an election in a country in the middle of war? The killings continue, Southern Cameroonians all living in fear and traumatised. Not to talk of those in jail ,killed and the constant brutal attacks of citizens by the military. Where did we go wrong?
Our lives does not really matter, life continues and must go on in French Cameroon. Millions have been invested for Christmas banquets in their country and with joy it is broadcasted and circulated all over the social media.
,French Cameroon’s 1st lady pictured feasting and showing off with children of her “calibre” in French Cameroons. What an insult, what a shame,it is evident that “not all lives matters”
That time is coming, that time is near and is here and unanimously we say “enough is enough “. Our struggle is God ordained and we will succeed, the fight continues until independence.Paul Biya you will have to kill us all for no amount of threats or torture will make us to surrender. We are the never again generation,we shall take back control of our land. We shall continue to raise our voices higher and higher until we reach home (Buea) Freedom is coming soon.

THE ASSIMILATION OF SOUTHERN CAMEROONS  BY LA REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROON.

THE ASSIMILATION OF SOUTHERN CAMEROONS  BY LA REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROON.

The problem of the  British southern Cameroons stems from a failed decolonisation process followed by annexation and systematic assimilation  by La Repubique du  Cameroun . This was attested by President Biya himself during the Paris peace forum where he said ,”we tried to assimilate them (Ambazonians) into our system but failed.”
Despite accepting failure in assimilating Southern Cameroonians,he is still committing troops to fight a war in Ambazonia which he knows he cannot win. His cosmetic solutions to the conflict are all tied to assimilation. This includes the bilingualism commission  and his recent bill on the adoption of  English and French as national languages. Even the Tripartite visit by the secretary general of La Francophonie ,the Commonwealth and the president of the African Union was all an attempt to dismiss the route cause of the conflict as simply a matter of colonial linguistic divide.
Assimilation of the state of Southern Cameroons  started with  dissolution of the federal union of two equal sates into a unitary state  in 1972 by then President Amadou   Ahidjo. The  flag was also change from two stars to just one depicting the unitary state  on 20th May 1975. The effacement of the  Southern Cameroons state was completed in 1984 with  the Country  renamed “The Republic of Cameroon”  by Paul Biya . Renaming it in French  “La Republique du Cameroun” was to show the assimilation and annexation of Southern Cameroons was complete since is it the same name French Cameroun had prior to independence which it  got on 1st January 1960 from France.
.

The problem of southern Cameroons is that of failed decolonisation and recolonisation by our Francophone brothers. It is true some politicians denied the existence of  a Southern Cameroons or Anglophone problem. These government officials are paid to tell lies. Fortunately ministers like Atanga Nji who refused there  was even an Anglophone Problem are now acknowledging there is one after two years of conflict.
However, they still refuse to acknowledge the root cause of the problem. They claim the form of the state is non negotiable, understandably because  the present form benefits them and their families .
President Paul Biya in his address  on the 10th of September  2019  promised to solve the problems plaguing the North west and  South west  regions of the country through a national dialogue which was not represented by the people who have the problem. It was more of a monologue. He said the national dialogue will ease tensions . But how was it going to ease tensions when the form of the state or Ambazonia  was a taboo Subject. The resolution of the dialogue was to offer a “special status” to Southern Cameroons ,something that has been totally dismissed  by most Ambazonians.
President Biya  also announced in February that municipal and parliamentary elections will be held in 2020 while he is yet to call a ceasefire or withdraw his troops in the ongoing war in Ambazonia. A war he declared himself .Majority of political parties and candidates continue to withdraw from the elections for obvious reasons.

The Social Democratic Front through its chairman in a letter that went viral on the social media said  his party will not participate  in the election unless the army of occupation was pulled out  of Southern Cameroons.
After a very long silence as to the faith of the national dialogue ,the bill on granting of  special status  to Southern Cameroons was finally sent to parliament where its content met strong resistance  particularly from Southern Cameroonians.
It is now clear President Biya has no intention to listen to voice of reason. While he continues his pretence,Southern Cameroonians remain resolute on the restoration of their statehood as the only way to lasting peace.

It seems the international community is also accepting this as fact. All that remains is frank negotiations to be initiated where a road-map is set for independence. Biya must now accept the people of Southern Cameroons have refused to be assimilated.

Cry of the innocent

               Cry of the Innocent

It was on 22nd September 2016 that this problem started.  With a peaceful demonstration, to people being locked up in prison and cells for asking for equal opportunities in their own homeland, Ambazonia.

Young people frustrated

Since 2016, the unsettled situation has caused so many young people, boys and girls, to go and seek refuge in their neighbouring countries, which is causing their lives.  The daughter of a sister from Southern Cameroons, Ambazonia, with a Master’s Degree in hand, was almost killed in Mali.  They cut her flesh up, but thank God for the intervention of a passer-by, she survived.  All this is because their own country has no jobs, no peace, even no voice to contribute in their own country, they all want to go, but young people cannot demonstrate because they will be accused of being terrorists and will also face life behind bars.

Once you open your mouth to speak, if you are caught, your life’s destruction has started.  Young people don’t have voices, they cannot contribute in their society.  This is what the present government of La Republique is doing.

What a shame that we believe that children are our future, but with La Republique government, the old are their future, young people should not talk when adults are talking.

Children are left orphans

As the situation in Cameroon carries on, so many children are becoming orphans, some whose parents have died either through stray bullets or by direct bullets shot by government soldiers.  Some are orphans as their parents died on their way escaping from the soldiers killing all males in Southern Cameroons (Ambazonians), or running away from hunger or because their homes were being burned and they were homeless.  Some are running away from the embarrassment they get from soldiers who batch in their homes and rape them in front of their children.  Some are even killed in front of their children.  Women will run away from home because of embarrassment of being raped in front of their children.

Some children are orphaned as their parents will empty their bank account to escape abroad…! but end up being swallowed by the monstrous sea waves in the ocean.  Some children will survive while others will die with their mother and father or only their mother or only their father.  I saw on the news some Southern Cameroonians (Ambazonians) dead on their way abroad, only their children survived and were crying.

Where is the peace?  Where is our world going?  The world leaders and all human rights organisations should stand up and take decisions on Cameroon and its government.

A word to the wise is sufficient.  Long live Southern Cameroons!  Long live Ambazonians!
